Palm Beach Meats in Orlando
There is a new restaurant in the South Orlando area that took over the old Hungry Pants space. Palm Beach Meats has opened and is serving up the world’s finest and most exclusive Wagyu beef. The family-owned company, which began in West Palm Beach, now has a location here and is Florida’s only all-Wagyu retail shop and restaurant. It offers a unique blend of fast-casual dining and retail sales of Wagyu cuts from Japan, Australia, and the U.S.
The owners, couple Eric and Meghan San Pedro, started the business back in 2020, delivering cuts of Wagyu to customers locally, and their West Palm Beach location gained traction as a place where anyone could indulge in premium Wagyu instead of being sold the imitation elsewhere. Palm Beach Meats is also certified by the prestigious Kobe Beef Marketing and Distribution Promotion Association, making it the only business in the U.S. authorized to sell Certified Kobe Beef under all three designations: retailer, wholesale supplier, and restaurant. This is the real deal. While we all deal with higher prices and lower quality, you know exactly what quality you are paying for here.
The Vibe
The space was redone with dark wood tones, comfortable seating in the main restaurant area, and a bar. When you walk in, you will immediately see a case filled with meats you can purchase to take home and their market shelves stocked with premium items for cooking and elevating your home dining experience.
If you're not ready to dive into it, that's okay. Walk up to the counter and order off their fast-casual menu. You will find accessible items like burgers, hot dogs, BLTs, a Philly Cheesesteak, and even a PBJ. Wagyu is present in all menu options.
If you are looking for something more straightforward, you have the option to enjoy Australian or Japanese Wagyu sandwiches or a Japanese Wagyu steak. Some items will have a higher price tag than others, so how you wish to proceed with your Wagyu indulgence is up to you.
What I ordered
During my soft opening visit, we got the Wagyu Burger ($18.99) and the Australian Wagyu Philly Cheesesteak ($22.99).
As someone who prefers not to spend high dollar amounts on meat I know came off a Sysco truck, I appreciate knowing the quality behind the meat and gladly will pay a higher price. Personally, I can tell the difference between having a burger and a cheesesteak with better quality meat, not just in taste and texture but also in how my body handles processing it afterward.
The cheesesteak had all the flavor I was looking for without the heavy grease.
The big surprise for me were the mocktails on the menu. I tried the Black Tie Affair, which consisted of Jasmine Tea, sesame, cashew, lime, and orange. I loved the vibrancy of this drink. Also potent and delicious was the Root of All Beers, which was root beer and KOS coffee.
Is it worth it?
My personal opinion is YES!
I had a burger at a local popular restaurant not that long ago that was the same price as the burger here ($18) and I found this to be a much better bang for the buck as well as what I know is better quality meat.
Don’t let some of the higher priced menu items scare you away. You know what is in your budget, but with so many let downs lately in the dining arena, I would happily spend my money here.

Disclaimer: I attended a friends and family day at Palm Beach Meats (not a media or influencer event) so I did not pay for this meal. However, I will be a loyal patron based off the experience and knowing the quality of what they provide.
