Local Black-Owned Businesses + Creatives

We have a beautifully diverse community here in Orlando. Despite that, we can find ourselves continuing to support the places that are only in popular neighborhoods, are run by entrepreneurs that get most of the press coverage and accolades, and have picture-perfect aesthetics for our Instagram feeds.

When that becomes our norm, we shut ourselves off to new cultures, tastes, sounds, sights, and perspectives. We shut off the flow of continuous education that is so sorely needed to show empathy, love, and respect outside of our narrow bubbles.

I hope that we all put an effort into diversifying our interests and opening our wallets to not just support locally-owned businesses, but supporting and sharing black-owned businesses all year long.
