Five places to get a Bacon Egg and Cheese around Orlando
There’s something about a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that feels quintessentially New York—warm, comforting, and perfect for any time of day. Sadly, when you leave the city, it can be hard to find anything that matches, which is wild considering we are dealing with just a handful of essential ingredients.
Is there enough cheese? Are the eggs fluffy? Is the bacon crispy enough? Was mayo or ketchup even offered? Was the bun toasted so it could hold the weight of the fillings without sogging and breaking apart? A delicate balance for this simple sandwich is a must.
After my most recent trip to New York, I was determined to find some bacon, egg, and cheese contenders here in Orlando for the supremely satisfying star of breakfast sandwiches.
This spot flies under the radar because it’s inside the ghost kitchen at Curry Ford and Conway. You can order through DoorDash or order when you arrive inside. No one is there to greet you, but each kitchen resident has their bell you ring, and one of their employees appears to help you.
This bacon, egg, and cheese was my favorite of the bunch. It was the cheapest and had the most flavor. It was just salty enough, lots of cheese, with a good roll - it hit all the spots.
Orlando City Deli
I’ve gone to this spot on Orange Blossom Trail before for Chopped Cheese, but this was my first time grabbing a bacon, egg, and cheese. Prepared right in front of you on their flattop grill, you can see there is no microwave here. The buns get toasted, and everything melts together in a delicious trio of goodness. The owners are from NYC, so if you are searching for authentic flavors, visit them.
This bodega-style spot is a convenience store with a kitchen serving up lots of different sandwiches. The bacon, egg, and cheese was good, although not as stuffed as some of the others in Orlando.
There are so many great sandwiches at Deli Desires, you might miss the B.E.C., but it’s there! There is no Kaiser roll here, but you have the option of the sesame seed bun or getting it on one of their homemade bialys.
Stasio's Italian Deli & Market
I usually go with their sausage breakfast sandwich, but I tried the B.E.C for research purposes. I was surprised it was lacking flavor. I barely tasted any salt and there wasn’t much cheese on it. For most people, Stasio’s can do no wrong, so if you love them unconditionally and love B.E.C.’s, grab one here. I think I will stick with the sausage.
