Paradeco Coffee Roasters - St. Pete
It only seems fitting that a coffee shop in St. Pete, which is a stone’s throw away from the bay, would feel like paradise. Pronounced para-decko, it lives up to its name being a slice of colorful paradise mixed with art deco decor.
Now if you know anything about me, it's that while I love coffee and an aesthetically pleasing shop, if the coffee is terrible, you won't see me hype the shop. The shop was in fact, so well done that I was immediately worried the coffee would be lackluster. Thankfully I enjoyed my iced oat milk latte, which after a few sips, realized didn't need the vanilla I added to it. Don't be afraid to just enjoy the coffee on it's own here.
If you aren’t a coffee person but you want to go check out the beauty of this cafe, they have other offerings like matcha and other teas as well as smoothies. Hungry? They’ve got you covered there with takeaway items near the front of the cashwrap, but also sit down items to enjoy, as well a limited food menu.
What to know before you go:
Downtown parking can be tricky. I found in the morning it was pretty easy to use the metered parking on Beach Drive and walk a block or two.
They have dairy alternatives for a $1 additional.
There are outlets all over the place, so feel free to bring your laptop to work for awhile.
The baristas and FOH staff were all very nice which was a great relief. No snobby baristas here so far.
